“We first heard of Black Diamond from receiving fliers in our mailbox. When we finally made the decision to renovate our backyard, we contacted them for a consult and from our very first meeting with Jeremy Ousset, we were convinced that he was the one that was going to bring our vision to life. We had a very rough sketch of what we wanted, and Jeremy was able to incorporate it into a beautiful design.
We were unsure of which specific styles and colors, but Jeremy met with us several times at multiple locations and brought materials to our home so we could see them first hand before we made a decision.
Once the work began, Jeremy frequently visited our home to ensure the materials and the work being done was correct and on schedule. In some cases, it wasn’t, and he was quick to resolve the issues so there would not be a delay in the project. The team was great about keeping the mess to a minimum and securing the space to ensure individuals that weren’t supposed to be on our property weren’t able to enter. The team was also mindful of our family, and always coordinated “loud” times with us to avoid disruptions in our schedules.
There were several occasions when we discovered additional work needed to be done, but it was outside of Black Diamond’s scope. Jeremy was very knowledgeable and was able to refer other vendors to us, who were also great!
A few months after completion, we noticed some of the pavers settled and we needed touch up to fill up some of the gaps. The team came back soon after we notified them to assess and brought the materials over that was needed for the touch up.
We are very happy with the results and the continued service we receive. We host gatherings in our new backyard often and have received many compliments. We hope to be able to remodel our front yard in the future and plan to use Black Diamond again.”

I found them through my neighbor. They got a beautiful drive way from Black Diamond about 1 year ago. I really like their work. That's why I decided to hire Black Diamond to do my backyard.
At beginning talk with black diamond, Fidel gave me a very detailed design for it. This allowed me to have a basic sense. That design is one of the reason that I chose black diamond.
After we made decision about the design, then we scheduled the work.
They are really fast and efficient. For around 2000 sqt feet landscape, it finished within 3 weeks. I can tell that they are very careful about the details. The people are very easy to communicate. I asked all my questions and raised my concerns about the look like. They all handled pretty well.
After the work is done, I was so surprised by look and feel about synthetic grass, because they look so real. You cannot tell that they are no real grass until you touch them.
I am very satisfied by their work. I know next time, if I need to do landscape, I will still go back to Black Diamond.”

Senior Designer/Project Manager, Jeremy, was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He listened to our ideas, told us what might and might not be possible, and made suggestions based on our ideas. He understood our budget limitations and was always conscious of that when we wanted--or needed--to make a change. The process takes time for the design, the contract, and then the execution. The project crew, led by Jesus, was excellent. They were hardworking, professional, and always respectful of us and our needs. “Black Diamond recently completed full landscaping on all 4 sides of our new house. It was a large project that started with a dirt lot and ended with raised beds, pavers, concrete, grass, and plantings. It turned out beautifully and we are very happy with the end result.
Laurie and Randy did a good job of managing the work of their many subcontractors and figuring out the details. Laurie is a very experienced landscaper – she really cares about the plants and knows them in and out. She helped us a lot with expert plant selection and advice. It was a pleasure working with someone that cares.
Construction projects are never perfect. The best one can expect in this industry is when any issues get owned and resolved. Black Diamond demonstrated themselves to be a reliable and trustworthy contractor in that sense.

“Laurie has great taste. Believe me the color she suggests is the best for your yard, but you need to be patient since living art needs time to grow to its full size.
Laurie is also very patient and good at pushing onsite contractor to deliver the job. The contractors work with her are also friendly and polite and listen to you. No remodeling/upgrade can be perfect all at once since you may change mind during the project. I changed the location of control panel a couple times, and the whole team are supportive.
At the end of the project, me, Laurie and her contractor sit down and had green tea while enjoying the finished backyard together. Hope your yard modeling also leaves a great and joyful memory.”
