“I first employed Pedro and his primary foreman, Pedro Junior, nearly a decade ago now. Pedro is Gilbert's son, and Pedro Junior is his grandson. Pedro owns the business and his dad Gilbert is retired. I first called them when a gigantic tree came down in my yard after a wind storm when I lived in the Woodland Heights - 77008. We called Gilbert's Tree Service because they've been located on 18th in the Heights since the '70s. Their quote was reasonable. More than that, they reattached our cable lines and mosquito system. At the time, another company told us to call other providers, and it was getting stressful lining up 3 providers to fix my problem. Nowadays I live on a much bigger lot in 777008 and I have needed Pedro's crew many times for large tree cut-downs and for quality trimming of other large trees. About a week ago, I had to cut down a tree on our proerty line as an insurance requirement. They disconnected and reconnected successfully cable and phone lines at my neighbor's property, and didn't damage anything in a really hard-to-access area. They also cleaned up old stumps and weeds growing at her house line to help her out. I also value that they have the same guys year-in and year-out. I feel more comfortable seeing the same faces, and I value a business that knows how to treat their employees well enough that they stick with them. I appreciate that his son is the hardest worker out there, too. They're a long-time, small business here in the Heights that deserve their success. Think of them when you need tree service.”

“Pedro and his crew trimmed our giant water oak that had been neglected by the previous owners, and I must say they did a magnificent job. Two men were actually in the tree trimming off any dead branches and small limbs, and by the time they were finished, they have raised the canopy in the tree looks very very healthy. Pedro was very easy to work with, and the price was very reasonable. We had a lot of vendors stop by and give us quotes that were much higher.
