Extremely Dissatisfied with New York Roofscapes INC- DO NOT HIRE
My husband and I had the unfortunate experience of hiring New York Roofscapes INC for a roof top project, and I must say that it was an absolute nightmare. We first engaged their service back in September 2021 and the project is still not complete - nearly 2 years later!!! I wouldn't wish this company's services on my worst enemy. Here are the reasons why I am extremely dissatisfied:
1. Poor Communication: David displayed a complete lack of professionalism when it came to communication. He continually ignored phone calls, messages and emails. He is a misogynist, who has no respect for women. After many failed attempts my husband and I consulted with David’s wife Tamara. Initially she was responsive but eventually was as equally as bad as David. They were consistently unresponsive to our calls and emails, leaving us in the dark about important project details and updates. It felt like pulling teeth trying to get any information from them.
2. Unreliable and Inconsistent Workmanship: The quality of the work performed by New York Roofscapes INC was nothing short of abysmal. The glass was measured incorrectly and is unsafe as the glass is too short and not secured properly, the flooring is uneven, the pergola and outdoor kitchen area are riddled with issues, including leaks, exposed electrically wires and shoddy installation. It was clear that they had taken shortcuts and had a complete disregard for quality craftsmanship. We have been left with a rooftop that requires immediate repairs, costing even more money.
3. We paid David and Tamara for them to purchase new doors, TV’s, grill an expensive outdoor couch from reputable company as they apparently have a warehouse to store these goods until the rooftop was completed. LIES!!!They kept promising to deliver these goods. NEVER HAPPENED! I finally called the furniture company to be told that the order had never been placed. I called Tamara to discuss this and after a week of lying to me that the order had been placed she finally admitted that it hadn’t, and that they had spent the money for PERSONAL USE!!! We have not received any of the goods we paid for!!
4. Missed Deadlines: New York Roofscapes INC not only failed to meet the initial project deadline, but they also consistently missed subsequent deadlines they set themselves. This caused significant delays and inconveniences for my husband and I. Their inability to adhere to their own schedule demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for their clients' time.
5. Lack of Accountability: Despite the glaring issues with their work, NEW York Roofscapes INC showed no willingness to take responsibility for their mistakes. When we brought up our concerns and requested repairs, they were dismissive and uncooperative. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them.
Based on our experience, I strongly advise against hiring NEW York Roofscapes INC for any roofing project. Their lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and disregard for customer satisfaction were extremely disappointing. Save yourself the frustration, headaches, and financial loss by seeking a reputable and reliable roofing company elsewhere.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with NY Roofscapes! David was truly fantastic to work with. I have never dealt with a general contractor who actually has delivered on a deadline and showed up to every scheduled appointment. Him and his staff worked weekends to help us make up the time we lost (due to delays from our building on approving plans) and there wasn’t one Saturday in June where a crew wasn’t working as promised. They are a very hard working and capable team who are all lovely to work with.
We are thrilled with how things came out and everything was also delivered on budget as promised!
This is the first roof I have ever done and it was completely new territory for me, but I would, without any reservation, recommend David and NY Roofscapes!

We did a relatively small installation with New York Roofscapes (400sf - pedestal system). Notwithstanding the small size of the install, they treated me with respect, urgency and did everything as discussed and memorialized in the contract. David and his staff were very professional, on-time, responsive and great to deal with. Although they were not the cheapest of the contractors I interviewed but the quality of work and service we received was well worth it. Would highly recommend New York Roofscapes.

Roofscapes were excellent to work with Dave and Tamara were very professional, the work was done in a timely fashion and came in on budget. They are very friendly and personable and will listen to your ideas and follow through. Tatiana is the “ plant lady.” Our hydrangeas are consistently lovely, everything is thriving after several winters, and she’s given us a lovely spice garden.
